Tea and Company
Tea and Company is a safe, welcoming space where you can share over a cup of tea or coffee with others who have also experienced loss and understand what you are facing. Caring facilitators from our Care Ministry will be present to support you along the way. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 1:30pm in the Café. Living Well
Living Well is a faith-based peer support group focused on mental wellness and connection, where you can share experiences, find encouragement, and grow together in a supportive space. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from January to May, from 7:00–8:30pm in Room L02. No registration is required.
Kingdom Come
Kingdom Come is a communal night of worship and prayer where we will seek Jesus with one heart and invite His grace into all that's ahead for us. Let us come together as one church across ages to orient ourselves to the year ahead through worship and prayer on January 16th at 6:30pm in Room 201. No sign up needed.
Proverbs Men's Gathering
Join the men of Peace Portal Church for an evening of connection and conversation as we explore the wisdom of Proverbs and grow in fellowship with one another on Saturday, January 17th, 2025, from 6:00–8:00pm in the Peace Portal Church Café. Men of all ages are invited. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow in faith and friendship.
Rooted
Rooted is an 8-week discipleship experience designed to help you grow deeper in your faith through Scripture, prayer, and community, meeting on Monday nights from January 19th to March 9th, from 6:30–8:30pm in the Fireside Room, where you’ll learn how to follow Jesus and discover your purpose in Christ.
Baptism Lunch
Jesus calls all who follow him to be baptized as a way of identifying with him and committing their life to him. If you'd like to learn more about baptism and consider whether you would choose to follow Jesus in this way, come join us for a casual lunch and discussion.
Senior's Luncheon
Seniors (65+), join us for our monthly luncheon happening on the last Monday of every month! Please sign up to let us know you’re coming.
Mandt for Families
Partnering with the West Coast Centre for Learning, Mandt for Families is a 5-week training series designed specifically for parents raising neurodivergent children (ADHD, autism, or behavioural challenges). Join us to learn practical tools for building connection and emotional safety. The course meets on Mondays starting January 26th, from 6:30–8:30pm in Room 206.
Alpha
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious about faith, purpose, and the person of Jesus—especially those who don’t usually go to church or are exploring what they believe. And it’s all starting Wednesday, January 28th.
Membership Lunch
Wanting to learn more about what it means to be a member at Peace Portal Church? Join us for a free lunch to learn more. Membership at Peace Portal is for those who want to be all-in as we passionately pursue God together—with our time, talent, and treasure.
YA Christmas Event
Young Adults (ages 18-28) are invited to our annual Christmas Party.
Seniors Christmas Banquet
Join us as we celebrate the joy of Christ’s birth with a festive Christmas-themed luncheon and a heartwarming carol sing. Lift your voices in praise with your favourite Christmas songs, accompanied by special musical guests on piano and violin. Come share in fellowship, gratitude, and the true meaning of the season!
Christmas Quest
Students (grades 6-12) are invited to get into the Christmas spirit at our Christmas Quest event happening! Come in your coziest pyjamas to play fun games, eat pancakes, sing Christmas carols, and more! The cost is $10/student.
Blue Christmas Tea
Come and join us for our Blue Christmas Tea, a special gathering on Tuesday, December 9th in the café at 1:30pm. Recognizing that Christmas can be a difficult time for anyone who has suffered a loss, we will take time to honour you and and your loved one at this tea. No registration is required.

Advent & Christmas Eve Services
Celebrate Emmanuel: God With Us this Christmas season. Each Sunday (9am & 11am), we’ll walk through the story of faith, hope, and love—discovering how life with God changes everything.

Peace Portal Kids Christmas Choir
Kids from kindergarten to grade 7 are invited to join our Peace Portal Kids Christmas Choir for our Christmas Eve services this year. The children will be singing Born is the King. For more information, click the link below.
Breakfast for Dinner (Grades 5-7)
Grades 5-7 are invited to a night of breakfast, games and a movie! Come ready to stack your plate with pancakes and load up on yummy toppings! We highly encourage you to wear your coziest PJ's and bring a blanket and/or pillow for optimum movie-watching comfort.
Child Dedication Class
Are you considering dedicating your child? We are happy to come alongside you as you take this important step. We invite you to our Child Dedication class, where you will learn more about the significance of dedicating your child to God. Please sign up to reserve your spot in the class.
Seniors Walk/Hike
Join us for a refreshing morning walk at Boundary Bay Regional Park! This beautiful trail offers sweeping views of the ocean, tidal flats, and opportunities to spot local wildlife, all on a flat and accessible path.
Journey Youth: Fall Camp
Journey's annual fall camp is back! Grades 8-12 are invited to join us for a weekend away as we build relationships with one another, pray, learn and worship together. We can't wait to spend the weekend with you.
YA Potluck
Young Adults, you’re invited to a potluck hosted at the Bagshaw’s house after the 11am service. Address details will be shared via the YA Instagram (@peaceportalyoungadults) and the newsletter.
Journeween
If you are a student in grades 6 to 12, you're invited to Journey's costume dress up party! There will be games, prizes, a photo booth and tonnes of candy. Don't forget to invite your friends.
Annual General Meeting
Our Annual General Meeting is just a few weeks away, happening on Sunday, October 26th at 12:30pm in the gym. A light lunch will be provided. If you are a member, please be sure to join us at this important meeting. Childcare is available and you can sign up below.
Fall Harvest Fest
Families are invited to join us for a fun-filled evening of fall festivities on October 24th, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the Peace Portal Gym. Children will enjoy games, candy, music, and a bouncy castle, while parents can relax and take in the cozy harvest atmosphere. This is a free event, open to all families in our community.
Men's Breakfast
Men of all ages are invited to this Men’s Breakfast. A time to eat some great food, be inspired and connect with other men at Peace Portal. Cost is $10/person.

Photo Scavenger Hunt (Journey)
The annual Photo Scavenger Hunt is here! Students in grades 5-7 are invited to be a part of this team-effort race around the church, collecting as many points together as possible! Bring your energy, running shoes, and creativity. We will bring the fun!
Men's Fall Kick-Off BBQ
Calling all men for an evening of food and fun as we kick off the autumn with a BBQ! Bring a lawn chair and a Pitching Wedge if you have one. We will meet at A Rocha.
Women's Fall Lunch
Women, you are invited to join us for lunch in September for great lunch, connection and special guest speaker. This is a perfect event to invite a friend who is exploring faith!
Seniors Corn Roast
Start the ministry year with our annual Seniors Corn Roast! Enjoy fresh corn, cold drinks, games, and fellowship outdoors. Bring your own lawn chair and sandwich; we provide the rest.
Annual Parent Meeting
Parents/guardians of children entering grades 5-12 in September 2025 are invited to our Annual Parent Meeting. This event offers a chance to connect, learn about youth programs, and partner in your child's spiritual growth. Light snacks provided.

Prayer Team Training
Whether you're currently on the prayer team or simply interested in growing your confidence in praying for others, you're invited to a night of equipping and encouragement. Light refreshments will be provided.

Pick up your copy of this summer’s book, The Familiar Stranger by Tyler Staton online or at the Connect Centre (limited copies) on Sundays. We will meet over lunch to discuss it in August.
